Capital Gain Tax to be imposed on stock markets: Tarin PDF Print E-mail

KARACHI : Minister for Finance Shaukat Tarin has said that Capital Gain Tax would be imposed on stock markets from next financial year, Aaj News reported on Sunday.

Talking in ‘Aaj Ki Baat’ program of the channel, finance minister said that a meeting of all the stakeholders would be held this month to chalk out program pertaining to imposition of Capital Gain Tax on stock markets.

Now stock exchanges should focus IPOs, he stated.

He further said that after January 25, action would be taken against tax defaulters, adding that the government has a list of 2.5 million tax defaulters.
